Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How do I get started?
A. There is a quick set-up process. Just fill out the contact form at the top of the site. Include as much information as you can. The rest is done through email. We will send you an agreement to sign and you’re all set. From then on, just use the “Book Now” link on the home page, or go directly to www.ShootRequest.com.
Q. Who needs to be at the shoot?
A. We recommendation the agent to arrive in advance to prepare the home for the shoot. We also recommend asking your sellers to leave home during the shoot. This helps the photographer to work with the least amount of distraction, which yields the best results. However, we work under whichever circumstances you feel are best for the your seller(s). Sometimes that means that they prefer to be home, which I certainly understand!
Q. What is your cancellation policy?
A. Shoots that are cancelled on the day preceding the appointment will incur a $50 cancellation fee. If the photographer arrives and the shoot cannot happen, we invoice a 50% fee on the value of the space that was reserved.
We want to ensure a consistent and reliable scheduling experience for our clients and last minute changes disrupt that process. We also incur costs when establishing an appointment that we may not be able to recover.
The best way to avoid a cancellation fee / delay is to be in tune with the condition of the property and it's current state within 48 hours of the scheduled shoot time. Heavily emphasizing the importance of this to your clients and homeowners is a good idea also!
Q. How/when can I pay?
A. We invoice monthly. You will receive your invoice via email. You may pay with a check, bank account transfer, or credit card via the link included on the invoice.
Q. How are the images delivered?
A. Our goal is to deliver your images sometime during the business day following the shoot. It may be very late on the next business day depending on shoot schedules. Images are delivered via email using Hightail. Does not require an account, a download link is emailed directly to you as a .Zip file of images.
Q. Do I need to let you into the house?
A. Someone will need to let the photographer into the house. The agent can meet us there, or the homeowner. Some may choose to leave a key hidden. Please be sure to provide clear instructions on how we will gain access, including any gate codes to the subdivision / property or alarm codes if necessary.
Q. What are the expiration dates on Matterport Virtual Tours?
A. Web hosting of a Matterport tour is limited, and therefore requires an expiration date. Real estate listings below 5,000 sq/ft are active for 6 months. Listings 5,000 sq/ft and above are active for 12 months. If you require an ongoing tour with no expiration, please contact us for a custom quote.
Q. Are Matterport tours lost once they expire?
A. The files created by the photographer are maintained after the tour is removed from the internet, however, there is not a predetermined amount of time for this and it is therefore somewhat unpredictable. We recommend contacting us if you receive an expiration notification and need more time so we can avoid any issues.
